The Tonbridge Bobcats enjoyed their home opener weekend for the 2026 season by sweeping the Kent Mariners. The double header on May 3rd was played at Borley Field in Tonbridge, Kent.
Game 1 was a hard fought win for the Bobcats, who scored in the final inning after the visitors had just drawn level. Chris Henderson pitched the full game for the Bobcats whilst Kit Hawes-Webb hit a home run in the 1st inning as the lead off at-bat and scored the winning run on a fantastic RBI by Henderson in the 5th inning.
Game 2
The Bobcats prevailed in the second game of their double-header against the Mariners at Borley Field. The competition featured several runs in the 1st and 2nd innings, but the Bobcats defense clamped down in the 3rd allowing only one run to secure the win.
The Bobcats move to 4-0 on the season and are top in the British Baseball Federation (BBF) Division 5 South.
